The wound and the question

Every man carrise a wound and that wound is almost always brought up by the father. Every man asks himself 'do I have what it takes?' that question can be answered by our father and if the answer is negative then it can impact on us for the rest of our lifes. People try to cover up the wound that they carry with different skills that they have. Some men don't even relise that they have a wound but the truth is that every man carries one. Alot of familys have broken parents and can be neglected by there father. I can only simpithize with you if you are one of those people. I pray that God will open your fathers eyes to see that you are a strong person who he can be proud of.

This week in WILD AT HEART, we learnt about who every man tries to hide behind something. We try to cover up the fualts in ourselves by picking on other people, being a perfectionist or what ever it is. In the beginning God created Adam and eve to live together and everything was cruisin till the serpant came along and tempted adam and eve. After this Adam tried to hide his nakedness with fig leaves because he was ashamed of who he was. This week God put on my heart that We are all perfect (no matter how chessy that sounds) and he is not ahsamed of who we are and it is only his opinion that matters in the end.

This weekend I went to a youth leadership camp. (No that doesn't sound cool enough...) This weekend I went to a YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP!!!! (much better). This weekend was the best weekend since sliced bread whiched they found out could be turned into toast and then.. put vegemite on it!! Alot of guys from the main land came down to speak to us about how to be leaders and how to train leaders ourselves. I just got so much out of this camp and wish that anyone who reads this was there also.
I found in this camp that the people in Tasmania and Australia are really genuine about who they are and what they presented. People that are commited to seeing people grow to love Jesus christ.
What a good weekend (No that doesn't sound cool enough...) What a GOOD WEEKEND!!!

Wild at Heart

Every mans dream is to rescue a beauty, be valient, save the world or something along those lines. In metamorphisis (A home group run be our church) we are doing a seris on being Wild at heart and living your dreams. Lets face it, life teaches us to be the good proper citizen that sticks to the rules and serves others and when we die all they can say at our funeral was: "Well...He was a really nice guy."! I don't won't to be remembered as a 'nice guy' but a courageous man who followed his dreams despite what others thought.

Wild at heart is a good wake up call for alot of men who are just doing the every day routine and living boring lives.

Over the next few weeks I'll share about whats happened in our home group and what wild at heart has told us.
